Ms. Christopher is originally from Cleveland, Ohio where she raised two daughters who now live in Columbus, Ohio and Jacksonville, Florida. She LOVES spoiling her three grandchildren. Along with her husband, they enjoy traveling, cooking, and experiencing new things.

Her fourth year teaching Reading/English to 7/9/12 grades at Sandy Valley, she also teaches English 100/102 through the Jumpstart program with the College of Southern Nevada. She also teaches classes at CSN Henderson campus.

Mr.Lupu - HS Science

Currently teaching High School Chemistry, Biology and Principles of Environmental Science.

I have been teaching in the Clark County School District since 2002. This is my third year at Sandy Valley High School. I have also coached boy's baseball here for the past two years. Prior to this I have taught science, economics and international finance in the magnet program at Clark High School for 13 years. I retired, before teaching, after 20 years in the clinical and diagnostic chemistry industry holding positions in sales and management.

Mr. Jennings - HS History and Journalism

Mr. Jennings, a Texas native, teaches Social Studies and Journalism in addition to serving as advisor for the yearbook and the Snakebite Gazette student newspaper. Mr. Jennings also coaches cross country. He graduated from UNLV with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with a minor in Political Science. Mr. Jennings teaches US/NV History 7, World Geography 8, U.S. History, U.S. History Honors, and Journalism Foundations. Mr. Jennings has been teaching since 2011 and loves teaching at Sandy Valley School! When he’s not teaching, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs.

Mr. Labrador - Physics, Geo Science

Veteran after serving 6 years in U.S navy, retired from the federal service after 38 years of total service, the last 15 years as I.T. systems manager at the U.S Attorney’s office, District of Nevada. Bachelor of science degree in computer science at California State U.S Hayward.

Ms. Mathews is an Oregonian at heart, she loves the Seahawks and her family. She loves to cook and teach others to make healthy meals. Her passion is helping families enjoy meals the best possible way, together!

This is her first year at Sandy Valley as she teaches Reading, English, Math and Study Skills. Ms. Mathews has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from University of Phoenix, a Master of Education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and a Master of Education from Grand Canyon University. ​
