Welcome Families to K.O. Knudson Academy of the Arts!
2026–2027 School Year | Welcome to Room 904
Dear Families,
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year and to Room 904!
My name is Adriane Levy (Ms. Levy), and I am excited to work with your child this school year. I believe that strong communication between families, students, and teachers is an important part of teaching and learning. My goal is to maintain open and positive communication with both you and your child throughout the year.
I frequently use TalkingPoints to communicate with families. TalkingPoints is an approved application on the CCSD safe list and is a convenient way for us to stay connected. You may also contact me through my district email at levyam@nv.ccsd.net or by phone.

I am the proud mom of two grown sons, and they continue to be two of the greatest joys in my life. My journey to becoming a teacher was not exactly a straight path—and I think that is one reason I believe so strongly that everyone has the ability to learn, grow, and discover new possibilities.
For 11 years, my family raised cattle, goats, pigs, and chickens. Today, I am a vegetarian, and I have an even greater appreciation for everything those animals taught and provided for our family.
When my sons were growing up, I spent many years volunteering at their schools and coaching AYSO U12 and U14 boys' soccer. I later worked as a paraeducator for eight years. Then, a teacher friend encouraged me to become a teacher myself. She reignited a spark that had always been in my heart.
At 47 years old, I went to college to pursue that dream. Three years later, I earned my teaching credential and began my career as a teacher. I taught in California for 17 years before moving to Las Vegas in 2020 to be closer to my brother and his wife.
Las Vegas is now home, along with my dogs, Rudy and Dina. Even the desert weather has grown on me—I can now say that I actually enjoy the hot, dry days!
Teaching continues to bring me great joy. One of my favorite parts of being an educator is getting to know each student as an individual, discovering their strengths, and helping them unlock their potential. I want my students to understand that learning is not about being perfect—it is about growth, perseverance, and believing in what you can accomplish.
I look forward to partnering with you and your child and to a wonderful 2026–2027 school year filled with learning, growth, new experiences, and reflection.
Sincerely,
Ms. Adriane Levy
