Eldorado High School is located in the heart of East Side Las Vegas. Since the founding of the school in 1973, Eldorado has had a long and successful history in academics, athletics, and the arts. Under former directors Dr. Jocelyn Jensen and Mrs. Janet Tyler, EHS Choirs have received decades of superior ratings at choral festivals, traveled all over the United States, and have been featured on numerous televised events. In 2000, Eldorado was named a GRAMMY school for excellence in the arts by the GRAMMY Foundation. After a series of district budget cuts, the EHS choir program was cut in 2009. Mr. Matthew Ostlie began to rebuild the choir program in 2013, and since then, the choirs have received numerous superior ratings at choral musical festivals, traveled on three tours of the South West, and produced three musicals in collaboration with the EHS Theatre Department. The Choirs at Eldorado continue to grow, and we take pride in graduating 100% of our choir students as musical, well-rounded, and responsible young people.
