Clark County School District

Coronavirus COVID-19 Information

During the timeframe in which the schools in the Clark County School District (CCSD) are closed, student learning extension opportunities are provided for all students. These student learning extension opportunities provide activities for students to engage in learning at home. Directions for the student learning extension activities are provided in both English and Spanish. As every school community is unique, schools may choose to have additional options for distance education, which may include, but are not limited to, Google Classroom; Canvas; and other school-site platforms currently used at individual schools, as existing log-in access exists for most students.

Message from CCSD Superintendent Dr. Jesus F. Jara

April 3, 2020

This Monday, April 6, 2020, our regularly scheduled Spring Break begins. Teachers will not be working and students are not required to participate in distance education during this time. Distance education will resume on Tuesday, April 14 as previously planned.

Food Services will continue to operate the food distribution sites at dozens of schools throughout Clark County during Spring Break. It is important to remember, starting Monday, April 6, food distribution sites will be open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

While I encourage everyone to follow Governor Steve Sisolak’s directive and #StayHomeForNevada, I want our teachers, parents, and students to take the opportunity to relax as much as possible.
