What is CTE?
Career and technical education (CTE) provides an important pathway to success for high school students and offers each student opportunities to personalize his or her education based on their career interests and unique learning needs.

Why should I take a CTE class?
Students are more likely to graduate. The graduation rate for CTE students is 13.9 percent higher than students who do not participate in CTE.
Students develop employability skills. CTE students are significantly more likely to say they developed problem-solving, research, math, communication, time management, and critical thinking skills.
Students achieve in other subjects. CTE students have significantly higher achievement ratings in reading, math, and science.
Students gain job-specific skills related to a specific career pathway.
How do I earn the "College and Career Ready" diploma?
Pass the Workplace Readiness Skills Assessment - measures student proficiency in the Employability Skills for Career Readiness state standards.
Pass the End-of-Program Technical Assessment - this is program specific and measures the skill attainment of students
Completed the 3 year program course sequence (24 units of credit)
ACT score: minimum 18 in English and 22 in math
Cumulative GPA: 3.25 or higher (weighted or unweighted)
