Evidence synthesis can be defined as the review of what is known from existing research using systematic and explicit methods in order to clarify the evidence.  Of the several methods to synthesize evidence, TRUES focuses on meta-analysis to quantitatively determine pooled estimates of health outcomes across primary studies. 

Our research encompasses broad medical areas, which include metabolic syndrome, respiratory diseases, cardiovascular diseases, and psychiatric disorders.  We also pay particular attention to conducting evidence synthesis of health services interventions (HSI) such as pharmacy services, smoking cessation and prevention, telehealth, psychosocial interventions, self-care support interventions, and adherence promoting interventions.  To achieve our mission, we do not only conduct systematic reviews and meta-analyses, but also develop methods to improve the quality and transparency of evidence synthesis, specifically in the area of HSI.  In collaboration with our international academic network, we developed the TIP framework, which has been acknowledged as a novel approach to characterizing HSI for comparative analyses using a network meta-analysis method.
