Our Lions Roar & Soar!
Dr. Donica L. Hill
It is my honor and privilege to serve as the principal of the South Campus. I have been in education, for the past 20 years, as a middle school Science teacher, a high school teacher, a Science Department Chair and now a Pre-K - 8th grade principal.
A little background information I'd like to share is I am a proud mother of 2 daughters, and I am a new grandmother to a precious granddaughter. I am originally from Mississippi, where I graduated from Jackson State University. I hold two Masters degrees in Education and Doctorate degree in Education Administration. I have worked with our school district for 16+ years. Anything over 16, I just stop counting! I originally came to NTCA as a high school teacher, then transitioned into the principal's position. I must say, I thoroughly enjoy serving all of the students in multiple capacities, so I know I am exactly where I am supposed to be!
I have a very simple philosophy that has served me well during my years in education - "Do what is best for kids". The decisions I have made and will make all begin with my philosophy as I clearly understand that we are here for the children. With that being said, I am a very visible principal. You can expect to see me greet you at the door, in classrooms, in the cafeteria, in the parking lot, etc... I strive to make a difference daily, so visibility plays a major factor in such.
I absolutely love our students and school, and I am very thankful to serve our community. I look forward to many more amazing years with NTCA, as well as us leading and learning together.
