Pivot!

On the topic of succulents and kits.

The past few days has certainly been eventful. On Thursday the team met to go over the overarching details for the project. This time, several points were raised:

  1. There were signs that the "kit" market was saturated.

  2. Production is uncertain with the recent circuit breaker measures.

  3. There is difficulty in forecasting demand as it was unclear whether the measures will be extended.

As the risks that exist in both demand and supply, we sought alternative that may help alleviate these concerns. It was during this brainstorming session when an alternative idea was pitched.

An alternative.

Sheryll brought up the potential of telegram as a platform to share information. Referencing existing ideas and the prospects of a plan that pivots off that concept. Jay shared how it could be expanded with courses with a subscription model. The team then expanded on the idea and developed overtime. The core idea of a convenient delivery, subscription based service was something that had potential.

Over the course of the next 2 days, we continuously engaged in creative and work sprint to further refine the idea and craft our business proposal. A course delivered over telegram was ambitious but not within capacity of both the platform and the team’s abilities at the present time. One market that have not seen much development was an online based supplementary education for the syllabus of national examinations. We then got down to putting the pieces together and presented the concept behind Werkit.
