CASE HISTORY
Normal pregnancy. Normal labour. A still born foetus.
PATHOLOGY
Umbilical cord 145mmx5mm. Showed evidence of asphyxia but no other lesion and death was almost certainly due to asphyxia from this knot in the cord.
