QStream disrupts the forgetting curve. It ensures that the brain is challenged to sustain training and development knowledge. Learning sticks when we are challenged to remember the training content, when it’s contextual in the workplace, and when it’s repeated over time.
QStream is developed based on two key principles: Interval reinforcement and Testing.
Interval reinforcement is reinforcement through the application of knowledge over time. It enhances memory and the survival of new neurons. It increases the efficiency of the uptake of information and encodes the information so that it is preferentially retained.
Testing is not just a dipstick that measures knowledge. Testing, or retrieval practice, is an active learning process that can dramatically improve knowledge retention when combined with immediate answer feedback. This process is known as the testing effect.
The school has an active subscription where it is heavily used by Year 3, 4 and 5 students.
