iFolio
iFolio
iFolio is a Workplace Based Assessment (WBA) application that students use extensively during the clinical years, Year 3 to 5, to get feedback from the healthcare professionals in the healthcare institutions. This application is accessible from both the Web and App. The App allows the student to complete their assessment on their mobile device even when there are no active Internet connections.
The year 1 and 2 students use iFolio during their practical and clinical communication sessions. They use it either to record their observation of experiments or for an evaluator (e.g. simulated patient) to provide feedback on the tasks performed.
The year 3 to 5 students use iFolio mainly during their clinical posting at healthcare institutions. A variety of assessments like Mini-Clinical Evaluation Exercise (Mini-CEX), Direct Observation of Procedural Skills (DOPs), Multi-Source Feedback (MSF) and Clinical Learning Review forms are deployed to students to enable them to get formative feedback on their performance. The students are encouraged to get feedback not only from their core tutors; but also from other healthcare professionals.
