Janet Kong, an AAPG Wildcatters officer, is starting the spring semester as an exchange student at the University of Stavanger. She is an M.S. student working on Antarctic glacial history with Dr. Julia Wellner. Congratulations, Janet!

Dr. Julia Wellner, our former advisor, is selected as an AAPG Distinguished Lecturer. The AAPG-AAPG Foundation Distinguished Lecture Program is AAPG’s flagship program for sharing state-of-the-art scientific thought, concepts and advances in petroleum geosciences. Only ten very outstanding geologists won this honor in 2016. Dr. Wellner will travel across the nation and give lectures during Jan 25 - Feb 5 and Mar 7 - Mar 18. Congratulations to Dr. Wellner!
