Officer nominations will be accepted from now until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, August 31st, 2012. Please e-mail the name of the nominee along with the position they are being nominated for to aapg.wildcatters@gmail.com.
The positions that are up for election are:
President: The president shall preside at all meetings of the chapter and the executive committee. The president shall appoint all committees subject to approval of the executive committee. All other executive duties not herein delegated shall be the president’s responsibility.
Vice President: The vice-president shall assume the duties of the president in the president’s absence and shall succeed to the presidency in case of a vacancy. In addition, any executive duties not performed by the president should be performed by the vice president.
Secretary: The secretary shall keep in the official record book of all chapter and executive committee meetings, create and post flyers, and maintain the organizational e-mail, and social network pages.
Treasurer: The treasurer shall maintain a complete record of all income and expenses of the chapter and shall pay all bills as authorized by the president or the executive committee. The treasurer shall submit an annual report to the executive committee for audit and approval.
(2)Events Chairs: The event chairs shall plan and oversee all events and committees related to community outreach, field trips, and on/off campus chapter activities.
Website Coordinator: The website coordinator shall maintain the chapter's website with current events and activities congruent with University of Houston guidelines.
Note: Elected officers are required to attend a mandatory registration on Friday, September 7th.
