Norris has a long-standing tradition of excellence in vocal and instrumental music. From energetic field marching shows to great concerts, and fun and exciting pep band performances, lasting friendships are formed and students gain musical skills our students use and will enjoy the rest of their lives.

Our ensembles have performed in local, district and state competitions as well as traveling to states around the country to showcase our EXCELLENCE that is Norris Bands.

Students at Norris are fortunate to have a variety of quality music ensemble opportunities including curricular and extra-curricular. See the H.S. Performing Ensembles for more information.

Curricular ensembles meet during the school day and students must be enrolled at Norris High School to participate. Students receive a grade in these ensembles and therefore must adhere to the grading requirements of each class.

Extra-Curricular ensembles are not actual classes and meet outside of the school day, typically before or after school. Students participating are not required to be in band at Norris. They are meant to be extra opportunities that are open to Norris Band students.
