Science Goes to the Movies: October Sky

Wednesday, September 28 at 6:30 p.m.

The Brian S. McCarthy Foundation presents “Science Goes to the Movies,” some of the best (and occasionally worst) science-fiction and science-inspired films. This month's film is October Sky, the true story of Homer Hickam, a coal miner's son who was inspired by the first Sputnik launch to take up rocketry against his father's wishes.

For a student to access the report card they must go under the Pages tab in X2. The process is the same as last year
