Mr. Esposito SOCIAL STUDIES

Welcome to Social Studies 7- American History through 1865

This year we will be learning about the first half of American History, from the populating of the Americas by the First Americans through the American Civil War.  I hope you enjoy learning about the many topics from the first half of our nation's history that have helped us become the country we are today.

A little bit about me...

I am beginning my 18th year as a teacher here in the North Syracuse Central School District.  Myself, along with my wife and children, live in Clay.  I have 2 children who also attend North Syracuse Schools.  My son is 16 and is attending CNS High School as a 11th grader and my daughter is 11 and is attending Gillette Road Middle School as a 6th grader.  My wife and I have been married for 16 years, although we met back in the 7th grade.  I am a lifelong Central New Yorker having been raised in Brewerton and attended Central Square schools through my graduation in 1998.  I then attended Franklin Pierce College, now University, in southwestern New Hampshire and graduated from there in 2002 with a Bachelor’s degree in American Studies and Elementary Education.  I returned home after graduating from Franklin Pierce and went on to receive my Master’s degree from SUNY Oswego in Secondary Education with a 7-12 Social Studies teaching certificate from New York State.   I love to spend time with my family, the outdoors/Adirondacks, golfing, the New York Yankees, the New York Giants and SU football and basketball!
