Welcome to the Health Office
Greetings! I personally welcome you and your family to the Proctor Elementary School. As the school nurse, I look forward to building a lasting relationship with you and your children over the next six years. Please feel free to call me, or send me an email, with any questions or concerns you may have regarding your child. If I am unavailable to take your call, please leave a message on my voice mail and I will call you back as soon as possible.
School nursing is a specialized practice of nursing that protects and promotes student health, facilitates optimal development, and advances academic success. School nurses, grounded in ethical and evidence-based practice, are the leaders who bridge health care and education, provide care coordination, advocate for quality student-centered care, and collaborate to design systems that allow individuals and communities to develop their full potential. (NASN 2/2017)
"The School Nurse has a crucial role in the seamless provision of comprehensive health services to children and youth. The role of the School Nurse is serving as a team member in providing preventive services, early identification of problems, interventions, and referrals to foster health and educational success."
