Welcome to our classroom!  My name is Josh Tang and I am the Engineering teacher here at Hale Middle School. This is my third year teaching at Hale, and it comes as a pretty big change after a fulfilling career as an engineer/entrepreneur.   My wife and I have a freshman in college and a junior in high school, and I have been actively involved in coaching sports and/or mentoring FIRST robotics teams with them for years. I really enjoyed working with my kids and their friends through their middle school years, and I am finding that enjoyment continuing as I have the privilege of working with your middle schoolers.  Their enthusiasm and curiosity are energizing and contagious, and I try every day to reflect these qualities back to them. 

This year, we'll explore exciting subjects and engage in thought-provoking discussions, culminating in designing, building, and testing prototypes to demonstrate the concepts we are learing about. I believe that learning is a collaborative process, and I'm here to offer support at every step of the way.
