24 Hour Rockathon!
Nashoba Music Students Raise Money for American Cancer Society
CALLING ALL MUSICIANS TO HELP!
Are you a musician? Do you know local musicians?
The Nashoba Tri-M Music Honor Society chapter is hosting a 24 Hour Rockathon from 6pm-6pm, March 26th to March 27th to raise money for the American Cancer Society.
Tri-M is a National Music Honor Society that recognizes musical excellence and leadership of high school music students. The Nashoba chapter organizes various musical events throughout the year to fundraise for music charities, our own district music programs, and other charitable organizations.
The Rock-a-Thon event in particular is being organized to raise money for the American Cancer Society - specifically their Relay for Life program. Nashoba Tri-M students will be broadcasting pre-recorded musical performances by Nashoba students and local musicians as well as live podcasts for 24 hours straight!
The Rock-a-Thon will be streaming on the StowTV YouTube Channel, Nashoba Friends of Music, and the local Stow TV station. We will release a schedule before the Rockathon that will detail at the times of each segment to make viewing the live stream more convenient.
If you are a musician or know any local musicians that would be interested in submitting music for this event, contact the Tri-M email, nrhstri-m@nrhs.net or Tri-M advisor Rachel Glenister rglenister@nrsd.net. Videos can be submitted to this form: https://forms.gle/Migpy46GFsPYshY96.The Rockathon will be conducted in a COVID-Safe manner as all submitted music will be virtual and all podcasts will be filmed with masks and socially-distanced.
