Welcome to our classroom! My name is Mrs. Jennifer Hubacz and I would like to introduce myself as your child’s first grade teacher. This will be my 16th year teaching; my 10th year teaching first grade, and my 7th year here at Florence Sawyer School. My goal has always been to teach first grade, because I find joy in encouraging young children to become lifelong learners. Since I was hired here in December of 2017, the school and community has welcomed me with open arms and I have felt nothing but love and support!

I am grateful that you have entrusted your child’s education to me. I have years of experience and have been trained on how to create a caring, safe, and encouraging classroom. I promise you that I will do everything within me to ensure that your child has a successful transition into first grade. In addition to ensuring a safe classroom environment, my goal is to make certain that my students meet with success every day. If at any time you have concerns, please do not ever hesitate to contact me. I believe that teaching takes a village, therefore a positive partnership between parent and teacher is essential for student success. I am looking forward to a fantastic school year!
