A big thank you to Nicole, for chairing this important committee!
Recently Pennsylvania law expanded school volunteer clearance requirements. Adults applying for or holding an unpaid position as a volunteer with a child care service, a school or a program, activity or service responsible for a child’s welfare or having direct volunteer contact with children, will need the following clearances submitted every five years:
*Act 34 - PA State Police Criminal Record Check: https://epatch.pa.gov/
*Act 151 - PA Child Abuse History: https://www.compass.state.pa.us/cwis/public/home
*Additionally, all volunteers now need fingerprints on file in the school office, prior to volunteering. https://www.dhs.pa.gov/KeepKidsSafe/Clearances/Pages/FBI-Fingerprinting.aspx
Clearances may be sent in the Middle School Office in an envelope with your child's name.
Parents without clearances on file with the school, will not be able to volunteer in our schools. Thank you for helping keep our children safe!
