Prerequisite: Art I with a “C” average or higher.

In this course students will be trained in a variety of mediums and techniques through advanced studio work in drawing, painting and printmaking. They will learn to consider aesthetic consequences of their technical decisions. Students will develop research, writing and analytical skills that will strengthen their understanding of relationship between art history and the making of works of art. The skills and cultural knowledge acquired will serve students throughout their lives as thinking individuals and artists.

    • AP Studio Art (6.5) - Drawing - Students must earn an A average in Art 2 with portfolio submission and teacher recommendation.
    • AP Studio Art (6.5) - Design - Students must earn an A average in Art 2 with portfolio submission and teacher recommendation.
