Queridos amigos
Algunos de ustedes no recibieron o no lograron leer mi boletin de Agosto por diferentes razones.
Aunque estamos en Septiembre, dejaré dos semanas más lo que escribí de Agosto, para dar tiempo a los que tambien apenas regresaron de su decanso de verano y ahora retoman sus actividades habituales. De hecho aquí apenas ayer (8 de Septiembre) comenzó la escuela o el año escolar y con ello el ritmo normal de todas las actividades.
Así que, espero en unas dos semanas poder compartir con ustedes más novedades. Por el momento os pido orar por alivio y sanidad del dolor articular que he estado presentando de manera intensa esta primera semana de septiembre. Por si no lo he compartido antes contigo, tengo un diagnostico de artritis reumatoide desde hace mas de 8 años el cual mantengo controlado con tratamiento

La noticia mas relevante de los últimos días fue la entrada masiva de unos 60 mil marroquíes de manera ilegal a territorio español (Ceuta y Melilla) y por ende a Europa.
Este abrupto suceso disparó una amplísima matriz de opinión sobre lo que es derecho o no de todo ser humano que busca una mejor calidad de vida.
Vi la noticia con penoso asombro pensando que mientras más ignorante es un pueblo, más manipulable y ciego se vuelve. Y esto es una estrategia de estado que mantienen algunos regimenes y gobiernos tanto en el Norte de Africa como en otros lugares del mundo, por no citar mi propio pais de procedencia.
Pero más allá de expresar mis pensamientos sobre este asalto a las fronteras (lo cual muchos me han preguntado), para mi dejaba en manifiesto esta crisis migratoria dos cosas muy claras:
1. España-Europa es fácilmente vulnerable a otra ola masiva de inmigrantes musulmanes. Y lamentablemente entre ellos habrá un porcentaje que viene con ideas o planes expansionistas. Repito un porcentaje, ¡no todos!. Y lo aclaro porque es facil deducir por las imagenes que al menos el 75% de los que entraron de manera ilegal eran menores de edad que no tienen claro ni que es lo que quieren y por que lo quieren.
2. La segunda cuestión que me abordó el pensamiento es que la mayoria de la glesia cristiana en España no está equipada adecuadamente para poder acoger, acompañar, educar, y ofrecer el evangelio de una manera relevante y entendible a este pueblo que merece (como cualquier ser humano) oportunidades que dignifiquen su vida.
De hecho la mayoría de las iglesias prefieren ignorar la realidad de que los tenemos aquí, en parte porque sencillamente no entienden, ni saben que hacer. Y también, porque hay un racismo sutil enquistado aún en la iglesia que solo se enfoca en lo que "va a perder" al dejarles llegar.
¿Cuál es la situación ahora mismo?
Según las autoridades unos La mayoría regresó a Marruecos por sus propios medios al darse cuenta que no tenían ni un pan literalmente para comer en el primer día de "aventura" migratoria.
El resto deanbula por las calles de Ceuta o están escondiéndose de la policía esperando que pase el revuelo para luego poder, en el mejor de lo casos, solicitar algún tipo de asilo.
Debo decir que no solo son Marroquíes los que están en esa situación, sino también Subsaharianos, que también cruzaron desde Marruecos y que por su puesto no tienen un hogar al lado de la frontera para poder regresar a casa.
Ahora bien, ¿Qué puedo hacer yo y como puedes orar tu?
Este suceso me hizo ver con claridad que yo debía ocuparme con celeridad de organizar y preparar algun tipo de formación para ofrecer a la iglesia local sobre como responder a la realidad de que los musulmanes van en aumento rápido en esta nación y en esta ciudad y que necesitamos aprender como acogerles y como acercarles el evangelio.
Ellos merecen como derecho humano escuchar que la salvación y el amor de Dios está también disponible para ellos.
Alguno me dirá: "Patri es que ver las imágenes da miedo".
¡no lo niego! ¡Da miedo! pero necesitamos equiparnos aprendiendo de la Biblia y de las puentes que podemos usar para mostrar a Cristo, su luz, verdad, y salvación, y en eso como dije arriba creo que me toca ayudar a la iglesia local.
Ora por Sabiduría y compasión para cada trabajador de las ONG en Ceuta así como para la iglesia cristiana allí situada en su trato con cada inmigrante.
Ora también por una gestión eficaz de los cuerpos de seguridad y gobernantes para resguardar las fronteras.

Por la finanzas necesarias para este proximo mes. Me es imperioso que Dios opere sobrenaturalmente proveyendo para mi sostenimiento a través de nuevos donantes o a través de un empleo de medio tiempo. El 04 de Septiembre dedicaré un tiempo especial para agradecer a Dios por lo que me provee a través de cada ustedes. Dear friends,
For various reasons, some of you did not receive or did not get a chance to read my August newsletter.
Although it is now September, I am going to leave my August update available for another two weeks. This gives time to those who have just returned from their summer break and are now resuming their usual routines. In fact, school—and the normal rhythm of activities—only just began here yesterday (September 8th).
I hope to share more news with you in about two weeks. For now, I ask for your prayers for relief and healing regarding the joint pain I have been experiencing intensely during this first week of September. In case I haven't mentioned it to you before, I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis over eight years ago, a condition I keep under control with treatment.

Other Life and Ministry Matters
The most significant news of the last few days was the mass entry of some 60,000 Moroccans illegally into Spanish territory (Ceuta and Melilla) and, consequently, into Europe.
This abrupt event sparked a wide range of opinions about what is or is not a right for every human being seeking a better quality of life.
I watched the news with dismay, thinking that the more ignorant a people are, the more easily manipulated and blind they become. And this is a state strategy maintained by some regimes and governments both in North Africa and in other parts of the world, not to mention my own country of origin.
But beyond expressing my thoughts on this assault on the borders (which many have asked me about), for me, this migration crisis made two very clear things evident:
1. Spain and Europe are easily vulnerable to another massive wave of Muslim immigrants. And unfortunately, among them there will be a percentage who come with expansionist ideas or plans. I repeat, a percentage, not all! And I clarify this because it's easy to deduce from the images that at least 75% of those who entered illegally were minors who are not clear about what they want or why they want it.
2. The second issue that came to mind is that the majority of the Christian church in Spain is not adequately equipped to welcome, accompany, educate, and offer the gospel in a relevant and understandable way to this people who deserve (like any human being) opportunities that dignify their lives.
In fact, most churches prefer to ignore the reality that we have them here, partly because they simply don't understand or know what to do. And also because there is a subtle racism still entrenched in the church that only focuses on what it "will lose" by letting them arrive.
What is the situation right now?
According to the authorities, most returned to Morocco on their own after realizing they didn't even have a loaf of bread to eat on the first day of their migratory "adventure."
The rest wander the streets of Ceuta or are hiding from the police, waiting for the commotion to die down so they can, in the best-case scenario, apply for some kind of asylum.
I must say that it's not only Moroccans who are in this situation, but also Sub-Saharan Africans, who also crossed from Morocco and who, of course, don't have a home near the border to return to.
Now, what can I do, and how can you pray?
This event made it clear to me that I should quickly organize and prepare some kind of training to offer the local church on how to respond to the reality that Muslims are rapidly increasing in this nation and in this city, and that we need to learn how to welcome them and how to bring them the Gospel.
They deserve, as a human right, to hear that salvation and God's love are also available to them.
Someone will tell me, "Patri, seeing the images is frightening."
I won't deny it! It's scary! But we need to equip ourselves by learning from the Bible and the bridges we can use to show Christ, His light, truth, and salvation, and in that, as I said above, I believe it's my role to help the local church.
Pray for wisdom and compassion for every NGO worker in Ceuta, as well as for the Christian church there, in their interactions with every immigrant.
Pray also for effective management by law enforcement and government officials to safeguard the borders.
