Awana

Awana is an exciting children’s program with the goal to reach and train kids for Jesus Christ.

Awana clubs meet on Wednesdays, from the last week in August through the first week of May. Doors Open & Check-in begins at 6:10 pm, with opening exercises starting at 6:15 pm. Children are dismissed to their parents or guardians at 8:00pm.

Puggles (birth - 3yrs) is offered exclusively for children of Awana volunteers.

The Awana clubs are for:

Cubbies (pre-schoolers must be 3 before September 1st and potty trained)

Sparks (Kindergartners through 2nd grade)

Truth & Training (3rd through 6th grade)

What do they do at Awana?

Awana reaches kids for Christ through fun, Scripture-rich experiences that lead them to know, love and serve Him.

Kids represent the greatest opportunity to make a long-term impact on our world for Christ. Offered through local churches, community groups and homes, Awana reaches kids where they’re at and walks alongside them in their faith journey. Those kids who come to faith at an early age discover God’s purpose for their lives and hope for the future. Ministry leaders and parents witness the profound impact Awana has in reaching kids with the gospel and watching them grow as long-term disciples. That’s why so many families and leaders have returned year after year, week after week, for more than three generations.

Activ8 is our Middle School ministry for grades 7-8. They meet on Wednesday nights at 6:15 at the Rock Christian youth center. On a typical Wednesday night, you should expect to enjoy a hot meal prepared by adult volunteers, fellowship with your friends, a time of worship, and a chance to soak up the Word of God through the lesson.

Ignite

Ignite is our High School Ministry for grades 9-12. We meet on Sunday evenings at 5 PM at The Rock Christian youth center. Our Sunday nights look much like Activ8, a hot meal, fellowship with your friends, a time of worship and a time to learn. Something unique about our High School ministry is that we offer Small Groups as an addition to our Sunday night programming. We divide our students based on grade and gender into smaller groups that meet within an Adult Leaders home for a time of deeper learning and fellowship with one another. We love our small groups, and would love for you to be a part of one!

Small Groups

The church has many small groups that meet throughout the week in various places including homes or within the church building. We encourage everyone to pick a small group and join in learning more about the Bible!

A new list of small groups is available every fall.

Please contact the church office if you have questions about current small groups!

Gathering - Women's Ministry

IF: Table—Conversations About Jesus is the women’s ministry of Norton Christian Church. Recognizing that we each have gifts to offer, we seek to mutually encourage and serve one another. We provide intentional, relaxed fellowship, sharing, and fun as we connect with Christ and each other.

Monthly gatherings are held throughout the school year:

Let’s gather around the table to learn more about Jesus and about each other. Intergenerational tables that have two hostesses who facilitate discussion, help build relationships and encourage friendships.

Men's & Women's Encounter

Men's & Women's Encounter weekend happens a couple times a year.

Men's Encounter is an opportunity to connect with other guys just like you and to spend time in self-examination to see where you are in your walk with God. Over the weekend, we look at 14 areas of our lives to discover specifically how God wants to use us. We will experience worship, testimonies, teaching and ministry times.

Women’s Encounter can be described as a weekend where women encounter Christ in ways that are perhaps new or long-since felt. Through teaching, testimonies, and worship we’ll dive deep into what it means to be a faithful follower of Jesus Christ.

You’ll learn more about yourself, the body of believers around you, and most importantly, the God who created you. Get to know the sisters you have in the Lord and the community that awaits you. Whether your relationship is new or old, this weekend will be a blessing.
