The National Art Honor Society is based upon SCHOLARSHIP, CHARACTER and SERVICE. Students in the 10th, 11th and 12th grades can apply in October. Applicants must be enrolled in an art class, attended NHS for at least 1 year, maintain a grade of B or higher in art class and maintain a grade of C or higher in all other classes. Members of the Art Honor Society complete 25 community service hours a year. These hours include volunteering in and out of school and setting up the art show. The Art Honor Society also conducts four fundraising events for the Senior scholarships presented on class night before graduation.
