Create and Link Lectures
Record mini lectures using ScreenPal and link to them within your course site.
Go to https://screenpal.com/. To use the free tool, click on the Record for Free button. [Note: NSCC has a Pro version, which provides additional features. Contact the CTLI for more information.]
Click Launch free recorder (download and install the software.)
Click WebLaunchRecorder.exe to start.
When the window opens, choose to record the screen, webcam, or both.
You can record up to 15 min at a time (the Pro version allows unlimited time.)
Tip: Consider creating your lecture in 15-minute segments. Doing this could make the file upload to YouTube easier. Please note that YouTube requires account verification for videos longer than 15 minutes. In addition, make sure the YouTube video privacy is set to "Unlisted" to avoid access problems.Drag or resize the window frame to fit the window you would like to record.
Click the arrow next to Narration to select your microphone in order to narrate your video.
Click Record to begin. Use pause as necessary. When finished, use the Done button to stop the recording.
Choose to save your video as a video file (MP4). Then you can upload it to YouTube or Google Drive and share the link within your Blackboard course.

Alternatively, you can use Powerpoint to record a presentation. More information is available at Microsoft Office Help.
