Project Requirements for
2024 Science Fair
This year we will be returning to an in-person format. All participants must submit a tri-fold poster board display as well as a Flipgrid video submission. Please refer to the links below for assistance with planning your display.
Flipgrid Video Submission
The completion of a short (up to 1 minute) Flipgrid sharing about your project. For any students who are camera shy, feel free to submit a voice recording. This video will not be shared with the judges but will be available for viewing to celebrate participating engineers and scientist’s hard work!
Designing Your Display Board
Projects should be anonymous. Student faces/names should not be featured on the board. Projects will be identified by the student identification number, provided after registering.
The following links have useful resources for planning and designing your display.
Scientific Method Poster Labels
These criteria align with the criteria that were developed by Brookhaven National Laboratory for the 2024 Science Fair. The winning project at each grade level at each school will be submitted to the BNL Science Fair.
