Hello! My name is Gina Haase, and I’m excited for another year at North Lake School. I provide classroom support and small group instruction to kindergarten through 4th grade students. This support includes reinforcement of literacy skills and concepts taught in a child’s regular education classroom as well as extra practice with phonological awareness and phonics skill work. I work closely with classroom teachers to help meet the needs of their students.
Prior to my years at North Lake, I completed 3 student teaching placements: 4th grade in Menomonee Falls, year 3 (3rd grade) in New South Wales, Australia, and special education (learning disabilities) in Menomonee Falls.
I received a BS in elementary education from UW-Stevens Point, with a minor in special education. I then taught 10 years of 4th grade followed by 6 years of special education all in Menomonee Falls, WI. I earned a master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction from National Louis University and have furthered my education by taking many classes beyond my master’s degree.
My husband, Craig, has been a teacher/coach for over 3 decades at Arrowhead High School. We have two kids; both of whom attended North Lake School from 3K-8th grade!! Jay currently is in the business school at UW-Madison, and Ava attends Arrowhead High School. I am proud to teach in a school where my own children received an outstanding education!
In my free time, I enjoy reading, going for walks, playing pickleball, stand-up paddling, traveling, and watching sports—especially basketball and tennis.
I am looking forward to another amazing school year!
