Summer Academy 2024
Options for Academic Advancement
Through the Northern Highlands Summer Academy Program, we will continue to offer robust and challenging courses and mini-sessions for our students that exceed expectations.
We will be offering scholarships to students who demonstrate financial need. Please see Registration Information for details.
Courses for advancement that qualify as new work in the following areas:
Financial Management (in-person course that fulfills the Financial Literacy graduation requirement)
Geometry
Honors Biology/Lab
Honors Chemistry/Lab
Honors Algebra II/Trigonometry
Once again, we will be offering micro-sessions on the following topics:
SAT Math
SAT Verbal (ELA)
Math Skills Bootcamp
The College Experience (includes guided work on developing a college essay, navigating ScOIR, completing the Common App, and any required application supplementals).
Be sure to review all course pre-requisites before filling out the application. Applications are being accepted now through Thursday, 2/15.

Dates for Summer Academy 2024
Full-year Courses (5.0 credits each):
Geometry, Honors Biology/Lab, Honors Chemistry/Lab, Honors Algebra II/Trigonometry
Hours: 8:30-3:00
Dates: June 24, 2024 to July 24, 2024 (Monday-Thursday, no Fridays)
Half-year Course (2.5 credits):
Financial Management
Hours: 8:30-3:00 (11:15am dismissal on July 9 to end Session 1 and 11:15am dismissal on July 24 to end Session 2)
Dates: SESSION 1: June 24, 2024 to July 9, 2024 (Monday-Thursday, no Fridays)
SESSION 2: July 10, 2024 to July 24, 2024 (Monday-Thursday, no Fridays)
Micro-sessions (College Experience and SAT courses)
Students may enroll in SAT Math and Verbal concurrently. Session times and dates will be based on enrollment, but our preliminary schedule is as follows:
SAT Math
Hours: 8:30-11:15am
Dates: July 8, 2024 to July 18, 2024 (Monday-Thursday, no Fridays)
SAT Verbal/ELA
Hours: 12:00-3:00pm
Dates: July 8, 2024 to July 18, 2024 (Monday-Thursday, no Fridays)
The College Experience (for rising juniors and seniors)
Hours: 8:30-3:00
Dates: July 22 to 24, August 1
Math Skills Bootcamp
Hours: 12:00-3:00pm
Dates: 8 Days TBD (Monday-Thursday, no Fridays)
Bonus Session: Any student who enrolls in an SAT Micro-Course may choose to take an optional ONLINE SAT PRACTICE TEST and receive a diagnostic score report. There is no additional fee for this optional test. Be advised that the SAT will be moving to a fully digital test in March 2024.
