Update: September 2023 

The Town is excited to announce it has entered a contract with Colliers Project Leaders for Owner's Project Manager Service for the Kittredge School Feasibility Study!  The selection was approved byt the MSBA at their meeting on November 6, 2023.  

What is an Owner's Project Manager (OPM)? 

The OPM will represent the Town during the feasibility study and schematic design phases, which may be amended to include continued Project Management Services through design development, construction documents, bid and award, construction, and final closeout of the Proposed Project. 

Please note the Feasibility Study/Schematic Design Phase is estimated to take 20-24 months.

We continue to work with the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) to provide the required Eligibility Period deliverables by their timeline. To date we have provided the Initial Compliance Certification; formed the School Building Committee that will oversee the project; completed the Educational Profile Questionnaire and the Online Enrollment Projection; executed the Enrollment Certification; and provided the required Maintenance and Capital Planning information. We are on track to complete the final two deliverables before the Eligibility Period concludes. The final two deliverables are the Local Vote Authorization and the Feasibility Study Agreement and were both submitted to the MSBA.  

At their meeting on July 13, 2023, the Kittredge School Building Committee appointed Laurie Burzlaff, James Mealey, Richard Cushing, Steve Foster, Denevan O'Connell and Maureen Sakakeeny, to the Owner's Project Manager Selection Subcommittee. The Subcommittee is currently drafting the Request for Services which will be submitted to the MSBA for approval, prior to advertising.
