This year we will be running the Lady Lancer Slamma Jamma similar to a quick shootout style.

3 game guaranteed. 6-8 team maximum per grade level.

$150 tournament fee per team.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

  • Tournament Sponsor: North Scott Lady Lancers

  • Location: North Scott Senior High School, 200 South 1st Street, Eldridge, IA 52748

  • Gymnasiums Used: North Scott High School Pit and Auxiliary Gyms & Lancer Athletic Building (gray building behind high school and by softball field)

  • Facility Usage: The North Scott Senior High School gyms and cafeteria are available for use, but this is not a school tournament. Neither the North Scott School District nor the North Scott Athletic Boosters will be responsible for injuries, accidents, or losses that may occur. Coaches are responsible for supervising their teams. Team bracket standings during the tournament will be posted in The Pit and in the Lancer Athletic Building.

  • Uniforms and Equipment: Teams should bring both light and dark colored uniforms. Uniforms must have numbers on the backs of shirts. The team listed at the top of the bracket (listed first) will be the home team and wear light colored uniforms. Teams need to bring their own practice basketballs.

  • Concessions: Food and beverages will be for sale in the high school cafeteria off of The Pit. There will be no concessions in the Lancer Athletic Building.

  • Officials: Two Certified IHSAA officials per court

  • Payment/Waiver: Mail your team’s $150 payment and completed waiver to: Coach Dexter, 115 Parkview Dr., Eldridge, IA 52748


TOURNAMENT RULES:

  • Iowa High School rules will apply with the following exceptions...

  • Games will be two 18 minute halves with a continuous clock, until the last minute of the second half. During the last minute, normal game clock stoppages will occur. 5 minute halftime

  • Warm-up times may vary to keep the game schedule on track.

  • Two one minute timeouts per game. No carry-over into overtime. One timeout for OT play.

  • Personal fouls will be kept by scorekeeper at every court.

  • Two minute overtime after regulation with clock stopping the last minute. Sudden death will occur after the first overtime.

  • Three point shots will be allowed.

  • A player from a lower grade may play in a higher grade division but not vice versa. Players must be from the same school district.

  • Good sportsmanship is expected from fans, players and coaches. If a coach is ejected from a game by an official, he or she will not be allowed to coach any more games during the tournament. If any coach or player is assessed a technical foul, 2 points will be awarded to the opposing team plus possession of the ball.

  • Player Waiver must be turned in prior to first game.
