Additionally, due to the pandemic, the Leyden-Norwood Athletic Conference has currently suspended all activities for the school year. As the Athletic Director, I will update with any information in regards to the conference as the year progresses.

*This unique school year will bring many challenges to the way the P.E. curriculum has been implemented in the recent past. I aim to provide movement opportunities & activities in a manner that is SAFE, fun, and beneficial. The procedures, expectations, and methods utilized will be created around current best practices.

***Students will not be changing into uniforms until notified otherwise.

***Focus on understanding & developing personal fitness & having a positive experience while being ACTIVE!!

ATTENTION 2020-2021 ATHLETES (if sports occur)

1) Be sure to have your sports physical status current to ensure eligibility to participate in sports this year for Giles! Parents may see the school nurse or office for information and proper forms during registration or separately.

2) As a reminder, the BOE has made it mandatory to turn in a check for $165 to the office prior to trying out for a sports team (will be returned/destroyed if necessary).

I want to thank all the students that participated in the athletic teams that I coached this past year for their effort, dedication, teamwork, willingness to learn, competitive spirit, and for taking PRIDE in themselves. I wish my graduating players success in high school and look forward to another year of sports in 2020-21 (hopefully) with those coming back to pursue greatness as a Lion!
