Most searches are in the long-tail
70% of all searches are in the long-tail. The further down the long-tail, the more helpful search results tend to be. The more helpful search results tend to be, the higher probability an action is taken by a user.
Note how the further down the tail you go, the more helpful the answers become. People want specific answers to their questions. Telling a hungry student pulling an all-nighter that "veganism is eating no animals products" or "you eat vegan by only eating plants" is not helpful. But saying "you can eat vegan at this exact location at these exact times, and don't worry they have the type of food you are looking for" is much more useful which will result in more people actually eating vegan.
