Next week between all exams we will be selling Chick-fil-a Sandwiches for $5, senior class will be selling honey buns for $1, And Model UN will be selling muffins for $2.

The City-Wide Student Council Association presents: Linking with our Community Against Human Trafficking- A community symposium for students and their families on Saturday, January 26th from 8:30am-1pm at Warwick High School. There will be survivor stories as well as interactive workshops and presentations by state lawmakers. This event is free of charge, but registration must be complete by this Friday, January 18th. See Ms. Powell in guidance for more details.

Attention seniors: Time to purchase a senior ad is running out. Tributes in the yearbook will only be sold through Friday, January 25. Visit balfour.com or see Mrs. Canody in 282 for size and pricing information.

Attention all Warm Hearted Wolverines. Woodside High School’s GEAR Up Program is collecting hats, gloves, scarves and other items for the PORT Shelter. We are asking that items be new or slightly used. Please drop off all donations in the main counseling office between now and February 13th. For more information, please see Ms. Powell, Mrs. Byrd, or Mrs. King.

Listen up, Wolverines. This year’s Woodside Jam is almost here. That means it’s time to have Woodside performers step up and audition. We need singers, dancers, hip-hop artists, and bands to fill out line up for the show. Auditions will be held on January 29th and 31st in Room 281 immediately after school. The show this year will take place on February 22nd here in the Woodside theatre and the tickets for the show will be $5. Please see Mr. Mata with any questions about the Jam.

Are you interested in building community partnerships and opening dialogue between our youth and law enforcement? Then come out to the Midtown Community center on January 31st at 3 pm for the Let’s Talk Youth Forum.

Norfolk State will be doing on-site admissions. Students should go ahead and complete their application. If they have any question please come see Ms. White in guidance for assistance

Any student who took an SOL for a class they are not currently sitting in and would like to know their score, please see Mrs. Foley right after school.

Girls soccer conditioning will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3pm. You must have a physical to attend practice. All girls interested in try-ing out for soccer should attend conditioning.

Woodside Theater would like to thank everyone who came out singing and acting for the spring musical, Sister Act, auditions! The Callback List should be posted today across from the cafeteria to let you know if you’re needed again for tomorrow’s Callback Auditions. Good Luck to all the swimmers as they compete against Warwick and Hampton tonight at Midtown Rec Center. The meet begins at 7:00. Come out and help us say good-bye to our seniors. Swimmers, the bus leaves Woodside at 5:15.

Today is the last opportunity you’ll have to try out for so many comedic roles Woodside Theater needs filled. Nothing needed to be prepared ahead of time, so just show up, and they’ll give you everything you need! Remember, if you came to yesterday’s audition, you don’t need to come today. Just keep a watch out to see if you’re needed for Thursday’s callback audition. Good luck and break a leg!

8th block Economics and Personal Finance class will be having their exam today at 2:30. Costello’s class will meet in c242, Brown’s class will meet in b222, and Herlitz’s class in A119. Attendance is mandatory!

SCA’s Annual Blackout Bullying Event is tomorrow, January 15th. The anti-bullying party begins at 3:00 in the cafeteria with a DJ, games, and free food! Hang out until 5:00 and get into the basketball games for FREE! See you there.
