Phase 3

In accordance with the guidelines set forth by the Virginia Department of Health, WGPRA has created procedures and practices that will help protect its members and volunteers.

  1. All activities and events at WGPRA will operate at 75% occupancy; this means no more than 127 guests will be permitted on site at any given time.

  2. Social distancing is expected at all times. Ten feet of physical distance must be maintained between patrons not of the same household at all times. This includes on the deck as well as in the pool itself.

  3. Free swim is allowed under Phase 3. However, no lounge floats or pool mats are permitted in the pool until further notice.

  4. WGPRA will routinely clean and disinfect surfaces at least once every 2 hours. Sanitation stations will be also be provided at the entrance/exit, where shared equipment is utilized, as well as in each restroom. Patrons, employees and volunteers are strongly encouraged to use them.

  5. Employees and volunteers working in customer-facing areas will be required to wear a face covering over their nose and mouth, if 10 feet of social distancing cannot be maintained. Lifeguards will not wear a face covering while on active duty. Each lifeguard station is marked to ensure 10 feet of space between lifeguards and the public.

  6. Footwear does not have to be worn on the pool deck when entering and exiting the pool. Footwear MUST BE worn when entering the concession area, bathrooms, or clubhouse.

  7. WGPRA will screen all patrons, employees and volunteers for COVID-19 symptoms. This will be done by asking a series of questions that must be answered honestly and to the best of each person's ability. Admittance to the pool/facility can be denied based on this screening. These screening(s) will be conducted in accordance with all privacy and confidentiality laws and regulations.
