Frequently Used Apps

On iPad, you can dictate text instead of typing it.

Make sure Enable Dictation is turned on in Settings > General > Keyboard.

With Control Center you have instant access to the things you do most.

Hear iPad speak the screen, and selected text

Go to Settings > Accessibility > Spoken Content.

Turn on the following:

Speak Selection: To hear text you selected, tap the Speak button.
Speak Screen: To hear the entire screen, swipe down with two fingers from the top of the screen.

AssistiveTouch helps you use iPad if you have difficulty touching the screen or pressing the buttons.

You can use AssistiveTouch without any accessory to perform actions or gestures that are difficult for you.

App Switcher
- Quickly switch from one app to another. Then when you switch back, you can pick up right where you left off.
Dock
- Access the Dock which contains recent apps used (on the right) and apps you have added (on the left).
Control Center
- Access the Control Center to quickly take a picture, start a screen recording, set a timer, adjust volume or brightness, or turn on Do Not Disturb.

Open Settings

Select Accessibility>Touch>Turn on AssitiveTouch

Open two different apps, or two windows from the same app, by splitting the screen into resizable views.

For example, open Zoom and Safari at the same time in Split View.

While using an app, swipe up from the bottom edge and pause to reveal the Dock (or use AssitiveTouch to open the Dock).
Touch and hold an app in the Dock, drag it to the right or left edge of the screen, then lift your finger. If two items are already open in Split View, drag over the item you want to replace. To give both views equal space, drag the divider to the center of the screen.
