Saunders Spartan Heroes from Room 40

A Little About Me...

Professional:

I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA where I attended Clarion University and received a duel Bachelors Degree in Elementary and Special Education. In 2001, I moved to Virginia and began my teaching career with York County Schools as a Special Education teacher. I then furthered my teaching experience in Hampton. This will be my fourth year at Saunders Elementary School. All together, I have 18 years of teaching experience to include 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th grades. Through the years, I worked on a Masters in Education in Educational Leadership.

Personal:

I have an amazing daughter, Tesia who keeps me very busy. We have 2 dogs (Caine and Titan), 2 ferrets (Stinky and Rocket), and a guinea pig (Taffy). As you can see we love animals and my daughter would have a farm if I let her. I spend most of my free time in the fall and spring at soccer. Family is very important to me and we spend a lot of time together. Tesia and I journey back home to Pittsburgh to visit family as often as we can. I enjoy playing basketball, volleyball, and watching football.

The following chart reflects Saunders School-wide Behavior Expectations. These are taught and reviewed in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Saunders Spartan Heroes are Safe, Smart, and Supportive each day!
