Ms. Flamson's Third Grade Class

The 2018-2019 school year will be my 11th year of teaching. I taught at Lincoln Elementary (2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades) and Eastbluff Elementary (4th grade), before finally finding my home here at Harbor View. I have taught 5th grade and a 4/5 combo while here at Harbor View.

I graduated from Concordia University Irvine with a BA in Liberal Studies (concentration in Child Development) in 2007. The following year I completed my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. A few years later, I went back to Concordia to complete my Masters in Education, writing my thesis on Technology in the Classroom. I am a GATE certified teacher and passionate about incorporating technology in the classroom. The past two years I have helped run Harbor View's Robotics Team. I also will be serving as Digital Coach for our school district. This past summer I decided to embark on a new learning journey concentrating on math instruction. I have begun the process to become a CGI (Cognitively Guided Instruction) teacher and will be involved in our district's Math Fellow Program.

Outside of the classroom I am an avid soccer player. I played soccer through college and still love the sport as much as I did when I started at four years old. I am also a HUGE Ducks fan as displayed on the wall in the back of my classroom.

I love my job and love working here at Harbor View. I feel lucky to work with such a supportive staff and amazing parent and student population.
