Chula Punk presents her senior project, Da Show at The Institute of The American Indian Arts, a theatrical fashion show of collective prayer and healing through fashion performance, live dance, and music. Chula Punk is a body-positive inclusive style I created that challenges societal systemic constrictions to Western beauty standards and advocates for Indigenous women, Chicano culture, diverse fashion, and human rights. All clothing is re-purposed, upcycled, destroyed, and reconstructed to be aesthetically whimsically punk.
