Welcome!! So excited to start this new adventure with students and families! Just a short message to introduce myself to you. I spent many years working at Arkansas Children's Hospital, but knew I wanted a more direct way of working with children. I completed my Education degree at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and will be starting my 15th year in teaching Middle School. Social Studies is my core subject and students will be studying Ancient Civilizations this year. I love the stories of different cultures and human societies across time and, hopefully, I will be able to share that love and appreciation with my kids this year. I am a lifelong resident of North Little Rock and care deeply for the people, the past, and the future of our community. When I'm not teaching I love to learn new things, enjoy reading all sorts of books, cooking, and spending time with my family, especially my mean little dog! I look forward to getting to know all of you and helping you learn and thrive during this transition to Middle School. Welcome to the NLR middle School 6th Grade family!
