Welcome students and families!! I am so excited for each of you to join the NLR Middle School 6th grade family! I wanted to take just a minute to introduce myself. I graduated from the University of Arkansas in Little Rock, AR with a degree in Psychology, focused in Business Management. I realized quickly that working in any field, other than with children, was not my passion. I returned to school to complete my Masters Degree in Middle School Education, Integrated curriculum, again at the University of Arkansas Little Rock. This year I am entering my 15th year of teaching. I began my career in NLR, teaching 5th grade. I moved to Florida, and taught 6th grade Science for 6 years, before returning to NLR. This is my 5th year teaching at NLRMS. I am currently a Multi-Classroom Leader/Science Lead teacher and teach 6th grade Science. Science is my happy place and sharing that passion with student's is the BEST job ever! I have two children, three dogs, and spend most of my free time doing something outside...kayaking, hiking, swimming, etc. Water is the music of my soul, so I tend to spend most summers at the beach, on the lake, or at the river. I look forward to getting to know you and your family this year!
