A little about me.....

I want to start off by saying that it is an absolute honor and privilege to be a member of the Gander Collegiate family.   Our staff, students, and school community are second to none.

I was born and raised in the south coast community of Harbour Breton.  I attended school at St. Joseph's All-Grade, Graduating in 1996.  Upon attending Memorial University of Newfoundland, I Graduated with a Bachelor Degree of Science, a Bachelor Degree of Education (Intermediate/Secondary) and a Masters Degree of Education (Leadership).

My teaching career began in 2004 at St. Simon & St. Jude Academy, a school in the tiny, isolated south coast community of Francois.  With only 22 students from K-12, it was a great learning experience.

In 2006, I moved to Port aux Basques to teach Math and Science at St. James Regional High.

In 2007, I moved to Stephenville to teach Chemistry at Stephenville High.

In 2011, my career aspirations brought me to Gander as I was the Program Specialist for Science for the Nova Central School District.

In 2013, the school boards amalgamated to become NLESD, and I was the Program Specialist for Math, Science, Phys. Ed. and Technology for the Central Region.

In 2018, I became the Assistant Principal of Gander Collegiate.  It has been a wonderful five years here as Assistant Principal, and I am happy and humbled to announce that I have accepted the Principal Position of Gander Collegiate beginning in the 2023-24 school year.

I am the husband of a wonderful teacher and coworker, and a father of two kids currently in the Gander School System.  My pastimes include playing softball, hunting, and drumming.

Please feel free to reach out to me if there is anything I can do to help.
