Translations move an object from one position to another! It does not turn, flip or change size!
If something moves 3 spaces to the right and 4 spaces down, we would write that as (3R, 4D).
Reflections create a mirror image of the original shape across a line of reflection!
When reflecting across a diagonal line of reflection, we follow the same steps as a vertical/horizontal line of reflection. Instead of counting up/down or left/right to the line of reflection, we would count diagonally!
Rotations occur when a shape keeps its original shape and size, but the image turns (and thus its orientation changes). There are 3 important things to consider when rotating a shape:
