20% of any regular priced merchandise purchased from Chapters will be donated to Waterford Valley’s Learning Commons. Great night of entertainment!

Happy New Year!!!


  • Exams will begin on Friday, January 20th and run until Friday, January 27th.


  • The deadline for the Heritage Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador’s 12th Annual Heritage Places Poster Contest is FRIDAY, JANUARY 13, 2017.

Along with student prizes, the Overall Winner’s school will receive $750 and the 3 Runners-up’s schools will receive $300 each.

December 14th... Ugly Christmas Sweater Day & Hot Turkey Dinner in the Cafeteria and Cookie giveaway at lunch

December 15th ... Wear Flannel... Dodgeball Tournament at lunch

December 16th... Wear your favorite Christmas pjs... Dodgeball Tournament at lunch

December 19th... Semi formal day... Karaoke at lunch

December 20th ... Dress in Red, Green or White... Present wrapping contest at lunch, candy grams delivered in the afternoon

December 21st... Santa Hat day, Pancake Breakfast, Talent show

2016 Provincial Teacher Librarian Conference

On November 23rd, Waterford Valley hosted the 2016 Provincial Teacher Librarian Conference we had 27 attending with 6 members attending via skype throughout the province. Beth Maddigan (MUN) spoke about current issues and research concerning establishing a Learning Commons. Thanks to the English school district and CDLI for their tech. support.
