Now that you have some ideas where you can find magnets around your home, hopefully you can find one to use. Try the fridge. Collect various objects from around your house, for example: lego block, aluminum foil, clothes pin, bobby pin, coloured pencil, coin, cork, crayon, eraser, hair elastic, key, nail, paper clip, rock, rubber band, ruler, safety pin, scissors, staples, string, toothpick. Anything from around your environment can be used to test for magnetism.
Make a list of items that are magnetic, non-magnetic or both. Or, use a Venn Diagram like the one below to organize your list.
