Spring Fair Bottle Blitz
We are collecting bottles for our Bottle Stall at the Spring Fair, April 28th. We call it Bottle Blitz! Please send your child along with a bottle/jar of items such as ketchup, mustard, jam, pickles, shampoo, soft drink, pasta sauce, body lotion, hand soap, detergents, etc. Please ensure that the expiry date is beyond July 2018.
When your child brings in bottles, they will receive a ticket, per bottle, for a chance to win a door prize! Also, we will be noting the number of bottles brought in per class and the winning class in Primary and Elementary will be rewarded with a movie and ice-cream party!!
You can donate bottles!
The School Lunch "Radiothon" will take place at the Avalon Mall, April 26th 10am-3pm. The Radiothon will be broadcast on Coast 101.1 and also live on Rogers TV.
No School for students Monday, March 12, 2018 due to Teacher Pd. Tuesday, March 13, 2018 will be Day 1 on the schedule. Lunch envelopes are due into the school on Tuesday.
School is closed for the day due to weather. Student of the Month assembly is tomorrow, Wednesday @ 2:00pm. Don't forget to wear something pink!

Student / Virtue of the Month Awards
Bishop Abraham's Christmas Assembly will begin at 9:15am, Friday, December 22nd. Please come and join our school community to celebrate student success and enjoy some Christmas fun! Students will be dismissed at 1:00pm for Christmas Holidays. School reopens Monday, January 8, 2018, Day 6 on the schedule.
Baskets will be drawn for at our assembly. If you haven't bought your tickets yet there is still three (3) days left to get tickets. The two (2) lucky winners will walk away with an early Christmas present. Tickets are $1:00 each and can be purchased at the office or by students from their classroom teacher. The more tickets you buy the greater your chance of being one (1) of the lucky winners!

Halloween Baskets Fundraiser
The Grade 3 classes will be selling tickets on two Halloween baskets starting Monday, October 2nd. This fundraiser will help with the cost of field trips taking place throughout the school year. Tickets are $1.00 or 3 for $2.00.

Vegetable order forms went home last week. They are due back Wednesday, September 27th.
Vegetables can be picked up Oct. 4th after 1:00 pm.
Picture Day is Friday September 29th!
All parents are invited to Curriculum Night, Thursday, September 14, 2017. Come and meet your child's/children's teacher/teachers and learn about the curriculum your child will be experiencing this year, classroom rules and expectations. All sessions will take place in teacher's classrooms. Primary - Grades Kindergarten to grade 3, 6:30 - 7:15, Elementary - Grades 4 to 6, 7:15 - 8:00.

First Day Schedule:
Doors open at 8:40
- Grade 6 students go to the grade 6 common area
- Grades 1 to 3 go to the Gym
- Grade 4 & 5 go to the Cafeteria to meet their teachers
- Kindergarten students wait in the corridor by main Office and the teachers will collect the students.
Bell Schedule 2017 - 2018 School Year:
- 8:40 am - doors unlocked for students
- 8:50 - all students proceed to their classrooms
- 8:55 - classes start
- 10:25 - 10:40 -Recess
- 12:10 - 1:00 - Lunch (the switch will occur at 12:35)
- 3:00 pm - classes dismissed.
