Dr. Toshan Meenpal is working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at National Institute of Technology Raipur. He has obtained his Ph.D. degree from Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai in Multimedia Security and Master’s degree from IIT Kharagpur. Previously, he has worked as a Software Engineer/Design Engineer at NVIDIA Graphics Pune and ST Microelectronics, Greater NOIDA. His current research focus is on Multimedia Security, Computer Vision, Image Forensics, Face Recognition and Understanding and Biomedical Image Processing. Under his guidance 2 students have successfully defended their PhD and 5 students are currently pursuing their PhD. He has guided many M. Tech and B. Tech students’ projects. He has authored/co-authored 17 SCI indexed journals, 24 international conferences and 1 book chapter. He has also been the PI/Co-PI of sponsored projects funded by SERB-DST and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEIT), Gov. of India. He has organised 2 short term training programs and delivered expert lecture in many STTPs. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, ISCA, Institution of Engineers and life time member of CRSI and IETE. He is the expert member at Research Centre Imarat, DRDO, Hyderabad, overseeing the feasibility of the project "High Resolution MMW Seeker." He also collaborates as a technical expert on procurement and research activities with BSF, Bhilai.
