Dr. Rajesh Kumar is an Assistant Professor (Grade I) in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, India.
His research interests include control theory, system identification, nonlinear dynamical systems, adaptive and intelligent control, neural networks, fuzzy systems, signal processing, optimization, and artificial intelligence in engineering applications. He has published over 60 papers in reputed SCI/SCIE-indexed journals, book chapters and conferences, including IEEE Transactions and leading Elsevier journals.
Dr. Kumar has a strong editorial presence in the academic community. He serves as Associate Editor, Academic Editor, and Editorial Board Member for numerous reputed journals, including Scientific Reports (Nature), Applied Intelligence (Springer), Complex Intelligent Systems (Springer), Ain Shams Engineering Journal (Elsevier), Circuits, Systems, and Signal Processing (Springer), Measurement and Control (SAGE), and International Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems (SAGE), among others. Since 2022, he has handled over 850 manuscripts across these roles.
He is a Senior Member of IEEE, a Fellow of IETE, a Member of IE (India), and a Life Member of ISTE.
He has an H-index of 25 and an i10-index of 30, and he was listed among the top 2% of scientists globally (Stanford, 2025).
Received a commendable Research Award from Delhi Technological University, New Delhi, in 2022.
Received a commendable Research Award from Delhi Technological University, New Delhi, in 2021.
