As part of the developmental guidance program, students will participate in lessons that will engage them in learning about a wide range of topics, including:
healthy choices
responsible decision-making
bullying prevention and social awareness
relationship skills
personal well-being
self-management
NISD prioritizes Social-Emotional Learning by engaging students, teachers, parents, and all stakeholders in in developing the whole child. At Lakeview, we encourage and challenge our students to grow socially and emotionally by teaching SEL skills through class guidance lessons, and providing opportunities and activities throughout the school day for embedded SEL activities.
