Pike Orchestra Vision & Mission
In the Gene Pike Orchestra, we strive to uphold a safe and supportive family-oriented space where students have the opportunity to grow and thrive throughout their time at Pike. Students will not only learn how to be successful musicians, but also as contributing members of society through daily instruction and campus involvement. Whether students choose to only play for a short amount of time, or their love for music blossoms into a life-long love, the goal of the Pike Orchestra is to leave a positive impression and impact on each student that walks through the doors.

Orchestra is one of 3 music options your student has when entering into middle school! Students do NOT have to have any previous experience in music to be successful in Orchestra. You also don't have to purchase an instrument for your child to join our orchestra program. All students start from square one in beginner and we build from there!

About Ms. Lang
Hello! My name is Anna Lang and I am so excited to continue my teaching career here at Pike! I began my teaching career last year here at Pike and jumped straight into being the Head Director of Orchestras and have loved every minute of it. I completed my student teaching in Arlington ISD at Arlington High School and Gunn Junior High where I taught grades 5-12 for a semester after teaching privately and providing sectionals for certain groups throughout my time in college.
I was born and raised in Arlington, TX and attended Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, TX where I received my Bachelors of Science in Music and an all level teaching certification. Last year, my fiance and I moved from Central Arlington to Lake Worth, where we now live with our cat, Bynx, and our dog, Charlie. My fiance is a Marine Corps Veteran now in school to be an auto mechanic, and we will be getting married in October of 2025! My favorite things to do are spend time outdoors at the lake, find new crafty projects to complete, and discover new pieces to "fiddle" around with on my violin. The lake is my happy place - I love recharging my batteries in the sun with my family!
I look forward to getting to know my students and share the values and traditions of the Pike Orchestra!
